Sauflon recently treated 11 optometry students from 11 colleges and universities to visit its manufacturing facility in Budapest. The students were chosen by their institutions and were met at Heathrow Airport by trip organiser John McManus (centre) - Sauflon’s international technical and product services training manager. Students were able to see all stages of the contact lens manufacturing process. Demonstrations and case studies involving the products they had seen on production lines were also given. Students had the chance to explore the city and also created video diaries of the event before being treated to a traditional Hungarian evening meal.
