Sauflon solution for silicone hydrogels

Synergi is Sauflon's new preservative-free multipurpose solution for silicone hydrogel lenses, previewed at this year's BCLA exhibition.

The solution contains Oxipol which combines cleaning, disinfectant and lubricating agents. Surface active ingredients, a wetting agent, comfort agent and lubricant also make the surface more wettable and enhance wearer comfort, said the company.

Sauflon said that Synergi is effective against the main strains of ocular pathogens, ensuring safe and effective contact lens wear while an antimicrobial soaking case minimises the transfer of bacterial organisms and prevents the build-up of biofilm.

The non-irritant solution can also be used to re-wet the lens during daily wear and is indicated for sensitive eyes.
