Scope Ophthalmics has booked its presence at this month’s Optrafair including exhibition space and involvement in the workshop programme.

Scope will be showcasing its latest Tranquileyes product – a moist-heat compress to help manage dry eye. The company said that the heat from its goggles, generated by either a gel pack or heatable beads, loosen oils in the meibomian glands to help hydrate the eyelid and surrounding skin, and promote circulation.

Tom Freyne, commercial director at Scope Ophthalmics, said: ‘Tranquileyes will provide eye care practitioners with a more sophisticated way to help people affected in the UK manage their dry eye or MGD. This is a growing market as our population ages, so it’s important to be able to offer a good range of choice in terms of safe and effective innovations.’
