The new look Scottish Contact Lens and Ocular Surface Society (SCLOSS) inaugural conference took place last month in Glasgow. A record attendance of contact lens opticians and optometrists, many IP qualified, enjoyed a twin track programme including lectures from key international authorities, peer review and workshops.
Caroline Christie, who together with Dr Scott Mackie resurrected the event from the ashes of the old Scottish Contact Lens Society annual event, said: ‘The great support we had from over 30 exhibitors from industry and optical professional bodies, combined with the excellent positive feedback we had from over 200 attendees, means we are already looking at running an expanded event next November.'
