A letter from the Practitioner Service (Dental & Ophthalmic) department of NHS Scotland to the profession has stated that the new GOS forms are being routinely filled in erroneously.

'As with most new things, there will be a period of time where everyone is getting used to the new forms,' Andy Kernan, business change principal at the department, has told practitioners.

'As a result of this, it is likely that there will be a higher level of claims that fail validation.'
