Essilor has launched a virtual scratch card as an incentive for independent eye care practitioners to discuss its Varilux Comfort Max lens with patients.
Practitioners receive a code whenever the varifocal is purchased and prizes include Amazon vouchers, plus entry into a draw to win a £3,000 holiday.
Tim Precious, managing director at Essilor, said: ‘Not only will it act as an incentive to get optical staff talking to patients about our newly launched varifocal lens but I’m sure it will bring lots of competitive fun into practices too.’
He added that encouraging these conversations would attract a new audience to try the lenses for the first time while boosting revenue for practices.
