Scrivens has bought East Midlands optical chain Eye-Check.
The Birmingham-based multiple has bought the estate of the seven branch optical retailer, and it brings the total number of Scrivens outlets to 113.
Eye-Check has two practices in Loughborough and other outlets in Ashby de la Zouch, Ilkeston, Leicester, Wigston and Cotgrave.
A spokesman for Scrivens said the two businesses ‘share the same values of customer care and very high retailing standards, making this deal an ideal match’, and stated that for the time being Eye-Check will retain its name.
