See My Future appeal raises almost £1.4 million

Orbis UK raises nearly £1.4 million through its See My Future appeal

Orbis UK has raised nearly £1.4 million in just three months through its See My Future appeal.

The sight saving charity launched the appeal earlier this year, where over £738,000 was donated by members of the UK public. With the money matched by the UK government, the donations will help to extend Orbis’ Refractive Error Among Children project in Nepal, which ensures school-age children are screened and treated for sight issues.

Orbis UK’s CEO Rebecca Cronin said: ‘We are always so grateful for the amazing generosity of our supporters, but the amount raised during the See My Future appeal is nothing short of incredible. Thank you to every single person who contributed to the success of See My Future, and to the UK government for helping us to have twice the impact.’
