SeeAbility highlights Learning Disability Week

Disability charity SeeAbility has released a short film, 10 Times More Likely, to mark Learning Disability Week and raise awareness of how people with learning disabilities can access eye care support.

The film featured actor, author, TV presenter and CBeebies star George Webster, alongside SeeAbility’s eye care champions and individuals supported by the charity – including children from the Village School in London.

Rebecca Lunness, SeeAbility’s North West eye care champion, said: ‘The film is a great way to raise awareness and it is brilliant to have CBeebies George Webster ending with our main message.’

The film served as a reminder that sight issues were the most common health concern among people with learning disabilities, who were 10 times more likely to experience vision problems.
