SeeabilityVision charity SeeAbility hosted an eye care event for adults with learning disabilities in Buckinghamshire last month.

The meeting was attended by more than 100 people, who were told about the importance of having regular sight tests and wearing glasses.

It was led by the charity’s eye care and vision development officer Scott Watkin, who himself has learning disabilities and keratoconus.

Watkin said: ‘It was a great day and everyone had the chance to get involved with cleaning glasses and practising having a vision test using letters or pictures. Importantly, it’s all about giving people the confidence to look after their own eye health.’
