Sense in the high street

One in four people with sight and hearing difficulties have on occasions gone without food or medicine because they find shopping difficult, charity Sense has claimed.

The charity this week launched a campaign with government ministers and business representatives to highlight the needs of deaf-blind consumers. High-street organisations at the launch included Specsavers, John Lewis, Barclays, HSBC and Pizza Express.
