Seraphin Eyewear releases P3-inspired ophthalmic frame influenced by the John Lennon era

Milton harks back to Lennon eraLooking to capitalise on the popularity for period spectacles is Seraphin Eyewear with its new Milton ophthalmic frame.

The P3-inspired style is made of Japanese titanium mixed with acetate overlays to create a vintage looking frame with modern sensibilities. Filigree detailing on the temples and nose bridge completes the retro package.

‘I designed the Milton with John Lennon in mind,’ said David Spencer, Seraphin Eyewear founder and designer. ‘During the 1960s this once disfavoured style quickly became cherished by Lennon who wanted to better present himself as part of the common folk. Quickly, others followed his attraction to this style until the 1980s when it became a prominent youth attraction.

‘Circular, lightweight yet durable frames will always find time to reinvigorate themselves; I don’t see them ever going out of style,’ he added.
