Essilor had already reported in its third quarter financial results that a number of lens markets including the UK were witnessing a revival (News 30.10.09).

Shamir’s net income for the quarter ended September 31 increased 67.7 per cent to $3.7m compared to $2.2 during the same period in 2008. Revenue increased from $36.2m compared to $36.1m during the third quarter of 2008.
