Sheffield optometrist keeps junior team onside

Optometrist Alex Gage has continued his sponsorship of the Crosspool Juniors Under-9s Boys Football Club.

The Sheffield-based practitioner co-funded a rain shelter for the team, having sponsored the team's rain jackets last season.

Matt Franklin, team manager, said: ‘Alex's links to sport, his local interest and understanding of the importance of grass-roots football in the community makes him the perfect sponsor for us.

‘Not only does the rain shelter look smart, but it keeps the boys dry and warm, which is obviously important.’
