Shooting specs hit their target

Two Austrian optometrists have drawn on their lifelong passion for shooting by creating a collection of spectacles especially designed for the sport.

Rainer Krischan and Walter Schmied have used their expertise as marksmen and hunters to design Winner Shooting Optics and have won favour with 'the most respected international shots, including the German national team'.

'I have spent most of my working life combining my profession with my hobby in search for new products and solutions for sports shooters,' said Krischan.

The shooting spectacles feature Winner clip coloured filters to increase contrast and an iris diaphragm, lens ring and eye cover mounted on to the headband. The frame can also be glazed to incorporate bifocals and varifocals.
