Speakers at the Sight Care Group Conference early next year will discuss the internet, technology and owning a business to ensure independents stay relevant to the modern day patient.

Sight Care chief executive Paul Surridge said: ‘Britain has come through the longest and deepest recession for decades but today we are Europe’s fastest growing economy, but there’s no room for complacency.

‘Unlike previous recoveries the structural economy remains fragile and our nation’s debt remains eye wateringly large. People are beginning to feel better off but not in all parts of the UK.’

‘As the internet and technology changes business practices and the way we live our lives, there is an increasing need for independents to adapt to new ways of retaining existing patients and attracting new ones. It’s essential that independents establish and execute coherent business plans and work together as a movement to avoid becoming irrelevant to consumers in the long-term.’
