Signet opens training site for Kodak network

Signet Armorlite Europe has set up an optical practice and training centre at its head office in Gloucester. It announced the move at last week's Kodak Lens Vision Centre (KLVC) Conference, attended by 100 delegates in the Forest of Arden, Warwickshire.

The company said the first 'KLVC Training Centre of Excellence and Designer Retail' resulted from the request to provide further training support to the network and it would represent the Kodak brand's offer to help independents compete effectively in the optical market.

'The training centre will be set up as a live retail situation which will allow us to develop, plan and test new sales opportunities and marketing initiatives far more effectively and will deliver real, tangible benefits to all KLVCs,' said the company. 'We will be able to control and measure initiatives which will in turn enable practices to see the result in advance and take advantage of the benefits they can bring to their own business.'
