Signet plans Tuff lens push

Signet Armorlite Europe is preparing a large consumer campaign for practitioners to promote the launch of the company's new range of polycarbonate lenses.

The promotion, which will consist of leaflets, posters and other point-of-sale material, is planned to get underway in practices around the UK in time for the summer holidays. The aim is to increase awareness among consumers of polycarbonate lenses, specifically that they are thinner and lighter than standard lenses, as well as being 10 times stronger. A spokeswoman for Signet said the promotion would be backed by advertising in the optical press. The company's new lens range, expected to appeal to sports wearers, is called Kodak, Thin, Lite, Tuff and is available in single-vision, flat-top 28, bifocal and progessive forms. For information, or to take part in the promotion, call 01452 720201.
