SiH lens designed to offer extra comfort

CIBA Vision believes it has successfully addressed the issue of comfort, the main problem for the majority of contact lens wearers, with the launch of the Air Optix Aqua silicone hydrogel lens.

According to the company, the 'innovative' Aqua Moisture System contains three key components essential for added comfort: a moisture agent that binds with the lens surface to create a layer that helps the eyelid glide easily over the lens a 33 per cent water content patented lens material that helps maintain moisture by minimising the rate of lens dehyradation and a lens surface with high wettability.
