Organisers of Silmo 2010 have described the show as taking place in the 'context of post crisis recovery' on carefully chosen dates (September 23-26) in an optimised business exhibition area at Paris-Nord Villepinte.
The new show venue is 'a more dynamic environment where companies throughout the optics and eyewear sector can generate sales momentum', said the organisers. Villepinte already hosts major international business events at the heart of Greater Paris, with a highly central rail-road-air network, supported by an effective logistics infrastructure.
Silmo 2010 will offer 'brightly lit, contemporary exhibition halls,' as well as an expanded programme of information and events. There are merchandising workshops, trend and innovation forums, Silmo TV, the Optical World Technology Symposium and Silmo Academy, an open forum for debate and the development of knowledge and skills. The Academy will present the 'Silmo Colloquium' a continuous professional development event aimed at practitioners who want to develop their expertise in dealing with clients and their vision. Symposiums cover refractive surgery, visual ergonomics and the ageing eye.
