Delegates attending CooperVision’s second annual ‘Leading Thinking’ roadshow which starts later this month in Manchester (The Lowry Hotel, March 27) will have an opportunity to quiz experts from the optical profession as well learning about the latest developments in clinical practice. The six free-to-attend all-day conferences will also take place at The Celtic Manor, Newport (March 29); Oulton Hall, Leeds (March 31); BAFTA, London (April 3); Crowne Plaza NEC, Birmingham (April 5) and Savoy Place, London (April 7). The events will feature lectures and debates which are designed to give delegates an opportunity to interact with speakers as well as to learning about the latest developments in clinical practice and management. Speakers from the optical world and academia include Professor Noel Brennan, Dr Philip Morgan, Shelly Bansal, Professor Bruce Evans and Craig Wilcox. Key topics for discussion this year include contact lenses for children, patient communication as well as corneal demands for patients of different ages. Changes have been made to the format of this year’s events, following feedback from last year’s roadshow, according to CooperVision. ‘We have adapted the conference format slightly for this year and introduced the chance for delegates to sit down with the lecturers over an informal lunch and ask them any burning questions on a more personal level,’ explained Karl Aberdeen, professional relations manager at CooperVision.
