Scottish Optical Conference announces education programme

Speakers have been announced for the Scottish Optical Conference (SOC) on November 19 at the Glasgow Radisson Blu hotel.

Organisers of SOC said the conference was the largest one day continuing professional development (CPD) event in the UK for all target groups and included sessions for optometrists, dispensing opticians, pre-registration optometrists and practice staff.

The three tracks (contact lenses and ocular surface, optometry, and building skills for the future) are each worth 15 CPD points, including peer review and discussion workshops.

Speakers included Professor Barry Winn who will chair an ocular surface update, Professor Nick Rumney who will present on diabetic macular oedema and optical coherence tomography, while Andy Clark will explore how to make your practice net zero.
