Solution given new name

Alcon has renamed its Opti-Free EverMoist multi-purpose disinfecting contact lens solution Opti-Free PureMoist.

Chris Miller, Alcon business unit manager, said: 'Our customers have a long-standing relationship with the Opti-Free brand which recognises the importance of patient comfort as well as disinfection efficacy. We encourage eye care professionals to speak to their patients about Opti-Free PureMoist, letting them know about the name change if applicable, so they can continue to experience the benefits of a lens solution which keeps their lenses comfortable and feeling great for the entire day.'
