Speakers confirmed for European event

Professor Brien Holden will be one of the keynote speakers at the forthcoming European Academy annual conference in Malaga, Spain.

Australia-based Professor Holden will discuss how technology can help eye health professionals to meet eye care needs.

Dr Eef Van Der Worp, head of the contact lens department at the Hogeschool van Utrecht, the Netherlands, will also deliver a lecture covering issues around the use of large diameter contact lenses.

Roger Crelier, Academy president, said: 'I am very excited that Professor Holden and Dr Van der Worp will be joining us in Malaga. Brien has dedicated his career to eye and vision research, education and outreach; his thoughts on the role of technology in future optometric eye care are sure to be of great interest to our delegates.
