Specsavers has introduced a target-based rewards system to help motivate its optical staff with perks including electronics, gaming, beauty and fashion items

SpecsaversSpecsavers has introduced a target-based rewards system to help motivate its optical staff with perks including electronics, gaming, beauty and fashion items.

The multiple this week announced a partnership with epoints Rewards to incentivise its 17,500 staff across 800 practices the UK and Ireland.

Launched by London-based firm Instant Access Technologies two years ago, epoints Rewards currency can be redeemed against a choice of products.

The points will form part of a wide range of company-wide incentive campaigns by Specsavers, the company said.

This included rewarding stores with epoints for meeting and exceeding targets and for discussing certain products with customers. Franchise directors were also able to buy additional epoints to run their own individual incentive campaigns and Specsavers staff can also gain points shopping with certain retailers on the high street.

Jill Clark, director of retail communications at Specsavers, said: ‘Epoints Rewards is a unique employee incentive scheme that has been very successful in its roll out throughout Specsavers stores.

‘As staff can choose their own rewards, it has been hugely motivational for them and this in turn has had a significant impact on both employee engagement and sales. We are delighted to be working in partnership with epoints and look forward to developing our relationship with them further.’
