Dispensing optician Bryony Hamilton (pictured left) has managed to qualify as a contact lens optician in less than a year.
Specsavers in Poole said it was the first time in five years a anyone had managed such a fast completion.
Usually students complete the course, made up of theory and practical modules, in two or three years, the multiple said.
Paul Carroll, Specsavers’ director of professional services, said: ‘Bryony has achieved something that is very rare. I know how hard Bryony must have worked to complete the course in such a short period of time – and it is also a reflection of the amount of support she must have received from the team at Specsavers in Poole.’
