Specsavers employees raise over £5,000 for guide dog training

Specsavers Corby, Kettering and Oakham raise £5,000 for guide dog training

Teams from Specsavers Corby, Kettering and Oakham have raised more than £5,000 to help train a local guide dog puppy.

Fundraising for the Guide Dogs charity and puppy Bracken included a sponsored cycle, where five Specsavers employees rode for 280 miles visiting practices around Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.

Director of all three practices Mark Turner said: ‘Guide Dogs has always been a charity that is close to our hearts and so we set our sights on raising enough funds to help train a local Guide Dog puppy. It was great to get to meet Bracken and to see just how our funds have been spent – a big thank you to everyone who supported us with our efforts.’
