Specsavers has announced plans to open an optical and audiology store in Banbridge, Northern Ireland, as part of wider expansion plans in the country.
The new Banbridge store, based on Newry Street, spanned 2,078 square feet and was set to open this month with the creation of seven new jobs.
Ryan Kee, retail director at facilitator Lambert Smith Hampton, said: ‘Specsavers first entered the Northern Ireland market in the early 90’s and has become a major brand on our high streets. They are always looking for opportunities to expand the business into new towns and capitalise on a growing demand for services beyond just eye tests.
