Specsavers expands recycling scheme to offices

Specsavers has expanded its spectacles and contact lens recycling scheme from across community practices to support offices in Nottingham, Southampton and Guernsey.  

Sarah Koulloutas, head of Sustainability at Specsavers, said: ‘The scheme offers a more sustainable solution by repurposing frames, contact lenses and contact lens packaging into useful products such as joinery boards and furniture. It keeps valuable resources in circulation for longer.’ 

Specsavers has linked up with recycling experts MYGroup to operate the scheme.
