Specsavers' mentor scheme sees success one year after launch

Specsavers’ partner mentor scheme creates 120 mentor relationships

Specsavers’ partner mentor scheme has created 120 mentor relationships just one year after its launch.

Currently anyone can offer mentorship or ask to be mentored and from January 2020, mentoring will be offered to employees on Specsavers’ pathway programme.

Specsavers partnership director for UK and Republic of Ireland Jack Ismail, who came up with the idea for the scheme, said: ‘The best way to learn is from others who are already doing the job. We’ve got 1,500 UK partners in Specsavers, many of whom have phenomenal experience and knowledge. It just seemed an absolute no-brainer for us to leverage all that knowledge and see what we could do with it via a mentoring scheme.’
