Specsavers PAC event brings together all optical professionals

This year’s Specsavers PAC saw more than 2,000 people at the event

This year’s Specsavers Professional Advancement Conference (PAC) saw more than 2,000 people at the event on October 21.

Held at the ICC in Birmingham, the programme featured interactive discussion workshops and offered a year’s worth of CET points. Approximately 100 delegates were self-employed or independent and a further 65 came from several Scandinavian countries as well as Spain.

Five senior consultant ophthalmologists from Newmedica shared their expertise and there were discussions on OCT and hearing loss.

Paul Morris, director of professional advancement, welcomed attendees to the event and said: ‘It is a unique event and, indeed, Specsavers is a unique business, where decisions are taken for the long term, not for short-term gain. It’s all about doing the best thing for patients, putting them at the centre of everything we do. At a time of unparalleled change in our sector we, with your help, are leading the agenda.’
