
Specsavers has partnered with the Royal Voluntary Service (RVS) in order to increase access to NHS sight tests for vulnerable people through domiciliary services.
David Stockton, director of home visits at Specsavers, said: ‘We don’t believe that the inability to reach a high street optician should be a barrier to good eye health. That’s why Specsavers has a home visit service and we want to spread the word as far as possible to those vulnerable individuals who have not had a sight test recently to take advantage of our expertise.’
The multiple highlighted that good vision and the correct prescription is essential to lowering the risk of falls, which often happen at home, among vulnerable groups.
