​Specsavers launches new campaign to raise awareness of glaucoma

Specsavers has launched a new campaign to raise awareness of glaucoma and to increase detection rates.

This campaign will continue into Glaucoma Awareness Week on June 17-23 and will be an extension of the ‘Don’t lose the picture’ concept from 2018. Adverts will display a partial image and the words ‘Don’t lose the picture. Glaucoma can steal your sight. Catch it in time.’

Specsavers’ director of professional advancement Paul Morris said: ‘There is a clear and urgent need to raise awareness of glaucoma and of the importance of regular eye tests. Ultimately this is a disease which can rob you of your sight, yet two thirds of people with glaucoma don't know they have it.
