Specsavers launches earn-and-learn scheme with base salary of £60,000

Specsavers has launched an earn-and-learn scheme to attract optometrists to areas of the country where recruitment is difficult by offering a base salary of £60,000, mentoring, training and a partnership opportunity when one arises.

The scheme was the first designed to tempt optometrists from outside Specsavers into partnership with the company to meet demand in areas where it was hard to find optometry partners.

Specsavers sought ‘partners in development’ who would receive a car allowance, bonus, mentoring and training.

Regions included Bristol, Gloucester, Hampshire, Devon, Cornwall, Norfolk, Suffolk, and parts of north-east England.
