Specsavers has given rugby fans the chance to become referees for the day at the RFL Dacia Magic Weekend in St James Park.
To celebrate an annual rugby league festival at the end of last month, referee sponsor Specsavers invited fans to step into the shoes of the referee and make cut-throat sporting decisions.
The Virtual Reality Referee Challenge ran throughout the whole weekend in the stadium’s Fan Park.
The virtual reality content was filmed with the help of the RFL and Hull Kingston Rovers, who gave Specsavers the use of their stadium and academy players to help create a realistic training ground environment.
