Ophthalmic goods supplier Spectrum Thea Pharmaceuticals has been acquired in full by French firm Laboratoires Thea after a six year joint venture between the two companies.
The UK market will now form part of Laboratoires Thea’s international business.
Spectrum Thea directors Andrew Geddes and Andrew Baker said: ‘A successful partnership between our respective companies had demonstrated that products introduced in to the UK market via a collaboration of experience and innovation had resulted in a very successful outcome for both companies. This success was due to the professionalism of the respective management teams and the dedication and hard work of all members of staff at Spectrum, Spectrum Thea and Laboratoires Thea.’
Laboratoires Thea president Jean Fred Chibret said the UK and Ireland were key countries in the strategic development of the company and that the current team would continue to develop the business.
