Alcon Vision care has made three new staff appointments, each recruited from within the company.
Gillian Kennedy (pictured centre) has been appointed business unit manager for the UK and Ireland having been promoted from her previous role as national sales manager. She will now focus on meeting eye care practitioners and practice owners to promote new products such as Dailies Total 1 water gradient contact lenses.
Succeeding Kennedy is Dr Cameron Hudson (left), who is the new national sales manager for the UK and Ireland. A company spokesperson said Dr Hudson had taken up the post at a time of business integration within the company and would look to collaborate with other business units including surgical and pharmaceutical, which would create new opportunities to introduce new products to the optical market.
Jonathon Bench has been appointed head of professional affairs in UK and Ireland and replaces Dr Hudson. Bench will look to develop new initiatives including the Alcon Scholarship.
