Developments in stem cell production to treat ocular surface disease will be the focus of the next CET meeting of the BCLA in London on March 28.
Guest speaker is Dr Hannah Levis PhD, research associate in the department of ocular biology and therapeutics at the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, who will speak on 'Developments in the treatment of ocular surface failure using cultured stem cells.'
BCLA honorary meetings secretary Keith Tempany said: 'With stem cell therapy increasingly in the media spotlight, there is no doubt that questions will be asked in practice about these exciting advances. Members can catch up with cutting edge research and technology - straight from the people involved.'
