Stepper Eyewear has marked its 50th anniversary with a donation of over £7,000 to Vision Care for Homeless People (VCHP).
The donation from the eyewear company, which was founded in 1970, helps to cover the costs of running the charity’s Manchester eye clinic.
Managing director of Stepper, Peter Reeve, explained that the eyewear company had been thinking about how ti can support a charity since sponsoring the sack race at the Association of British Dispensing Optician’s student games last year.
“We receive a lot of requests for various sponsorships but we have decided to put our charitable giving in one direction, where it can make a real difference for the year ahead,” he said.
