Style for the peak performance

The North Face 'Eyequipment' collection launched at Mido earlier this month is spilt into four categories, to suit an array of wearers' needs whether it be on an Alpine cliff face, for urban sports or just for leisure wear.

Runners, bikers and those requiring lower-altitude eye protection from light and wind are well served by The North Face's Performance Tech range, featuring light grilamid wraparound frames, while sporty urban types will find their styles in the Sport & Leisure collection, which includes the Akira, pictured above. End tips and nose pieces benefit from Gripsoft and Comfortsoft finishes respectively, to ensure good stability and fit. Spectra 10 polycarbonate lenses are used with the Alutech frame. The High Performance range is designed for extreme environments, such as mountaineering at the highest levels. Thermoplastic side-protectors ensure long-term grip in the lowest temperatures, and the company claims the XtraLight mineral lenses weigh 30 per cent less than standard lenses. The Snowsports line comprises five masks for skiing and snowboarding, featuring the brand's Venturi aeration system to ensure anti-misting and optimal vision.
