Montblanc has released its spring/summer 2012 eyewear collection, which brings together classic shapes, precious metals and elements from the company's jewellery collections.
The range comprises 27 new models - 11 women's designs, 13 men's models and three unisex frames. Shapes are contemporary twists on classic styles such as the Wayfarer and aviator silhouettes. The trend for oversize styles is also reflected in the women's collection, which features a number of larger shapes.
From the men's collection is the MB363S sunglass (1). A classic aviator shape is brought up to date with tight angles, a cut-away nose bridge and thick metal temples. Strong Montblanc branding and green tinted lenses complete the package. The women's MB356S (2) is a more lavish affair. An oversize shape is combined with graduated purple tinted lenses and an almost marbled finish. The hinge is concealed in the decorative ring on the temples, which feature more subtle company branding.
