Optical educator Replay Learning has announced the dates of its 2006 Clinical Conferences.

Optical educator Replay Learning has announced the dates of its 2006 Clinical Conferences.

The conferences will take place over a number of Sundays later this year and each will feature a series of lecture seminars and workshops, and the chance to meet exhibitors.

Peter Charlesworth, director of Replay Learning, said: 'This is the 10th time we have organised the clinical conferences and the programme is getting bigger and better every year.

'Even before advertising has begun, we have already pre-booked more than 150 delegates for this year's conferences.'

Last year's meetings attracted 600 optometrists, dispensing opticians, and contact lens practitioners. In addition, 25 optical assistants took part in a special training day at the Egham conference.

This session proved so popular that the optical assistants training will now be available at all four 2006 venues, running parallel to the tracks for practitioners.

In 2005 Replay pioneered the use of bar-code scanning to speed up registration and this will be used again this year to ensure that all eight CET points available to each delegate are automatically recorded.

This year's conferences will take place at: Cedar Court Hotel, Bradford (September 24), Royal Holloway, Egham, Surrey (October 8), Austin Court, Birmingham (October 22), and Charlton Athletic Football Club (November 5).
