Supervisor courses

The College of Optometrists will be running four one-day courses at various locations across the country in May.

'An introduction to supervision' will cover all aspects of supervising pre-regs, in particular the New Scheme For Registration of UK Trained Optometrists and how this will affect supervision of pre-registration trainees. The course is aimed at current supervisors, anyone who intends to become a supervisor and those who have supervised in the past and would like a refresher course.
The courses will discuss supervisor arrangements in detail and will also draw on the experiences of an experienced supervisor, an assessor in the new scheme as well as the College's pre-registration co-ordinator.
Courses will run from 10.30am-4.30pm each day at the following locations: London (May 24), Birmingham (May 25), Manchester (May 26), Glasgow (May 27).
The cost is £50 per attendee, which includes lunch and refreshments. Each delegate will also receive a complimentary copy of the publication Supervision in Practice.
