Suppliers join forces

Two of the eyecare sector’s independent suppliers have announced that they have become ‘sister companies’.

In a statement, Mid-Optic and Altomed explained that the new agreement would seek to bring more product choice to their customers, including opticians, optometrists and ophthalmologists.

Mid-Optic managing director, Richard Hardy, said: ‘The association with Altomed allows us to provide a portfolio of products to eye care professionals that few other suppliers can offer.

Altomed managing director, Nico Master, added: ‘Together we can now reach all eye care practitioners in the UK, from high street to hospital.’
