Fight for Sight and the College of Optometrists have called on practitioners to help change the future of eye research by taking part in the new Sight Loss and Vision Survey.
The two organisations, with the support of the James Lind Alliance, have joined forces with NIHR Biomedical Research Centre for Ophthalmology, the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, the RNIB and UK Vision Strategy to create the survey in which anyone working in ophthalmology, optometry and orthorptics can present their most pressing questions which they feel need to be answered by further research.
Michele Acton, chief executive of Fight for Sight, said: 'With limited resources available, it is crucial that eye health professionals have their say in prioritising medical research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of eye disease.'
