
A survey of the optical professions commissioned by Braemar Finance to investigate trading during the pandemic and post-Brexit landscape has found significant concerns among practices.
During the ongoing pandemic, over three quarters (77%) of employers said they would make Covid testing mandatory for staff and 40% said they would only agree to see patients if evidence of a vaccination could be produced. Two thirds (63%) said they had no issues with being vaccinated themselves, but a large number (31%) said they were not comfortable being vaccinated themselves.
When it came to Brexit, 72% of respondents said they were worried about receiving goods considered essential to their businesses without disruption and 70% said they had to make special arrangements in the lead up to Britain leaving the EU.
