Team completes SeeAbility challenge

SeeAbility has announced it will be repeating its Step Up for SeeAbility challenge this year

SeeAbility has announced it will be repeating its Step Up for SeeAbility challenge this year to coincide with World Sight Day in October.

A team of aspiring optometrists from Johnson & Johnson’s Vision Success Through Education (Step) team completed gruelling physical challenges during last year’s autumnal weather to complete fundraising goals for Step Up For SeeAbility.

Fundraising activities included an iron man triathlon, a marathon cycle ride and a 50km run and raised £4,692, which was matched by Johnson & Johnson to take the figure to £9,392.

SeeAbility explained the funds raised would be used to provide eye care and vision rehabilitation support, speech and language therapy, and personal behaviour support for people with learning disabilities, autism and sight loss.
