Tech roll-out for Leightons Opticians

Leightons Opticians has introduced Nidek RS-3000 OCT cameras to four of its branches. The company said Surrey's Epsom, Cobham and Farnham branches now have the first OCTs in each of the towns. The Reading branch has also followed suit, with the chain's other 30 branches set to install the cameras imminently, allowing Leightons to offer what it described as 'hospital levels of care'. Andrew Bridges (right), Leightons' director of professional services, pictured with Nidek UK CEO Chris Tyler said: 'OCT investment is a natural progression and we have already picked up macular conditions that may well have not been detected otherwise.'
