Ted Baker range is throwback to art deco

Six handmade models comprise the Squintessential collection

Inspired by the bold geometric lines found in art deco 1930s eyewear designs, Ted Baker has launched six handmade models that comprise the Squintessential collection.

Made from acetate, the collection includes frames with art deco-style front pins, reflecting contemporary architectural spires and a visible core wire engraved with geometric patterns. The frames are coloured with high-contrast multi-hue acetates or bold two-tone blocking palettes to reflect the art deco movement.

Further styling details include branded signature tips and custom-designed five-barrel hinges with sunburst patterns. The company said the ‘W’ cut and keyhole bridges give the frames a vintage aesthetic.
