A new version of the microwaveable Style Relief Compress eye patch has been launched with an added antibacterial solution attached to the fibres.

The Sterileyes antibacterial shield stops bacteria growth on the patch, reducing bacteria build-up by 99.9% according to the manufacturer.

Moist heat and pressure generated by the patch can be used for the treatment of styes and meibomian gland dysfunction, which is the leading cause of dry eye disease, blepharitis and associated symptoms like grittiness, irritation and dryness.

The new Antibacterial Style Relief Compress comes in a pack containing a storage bag and two lid wipes, alongside an information booklet on styes, chalazion and blepharitis.
